Colors and Culture

The scene was set at Montreal Clock Tower beach. The talent adorned the traditional Indian attire. The sun was setting faster than expected and the crew was running short on time. The original challenge was laid out before we began to shoot - Capture the multicultural essence of Montreal at one of its busiest and buzzing places. The additional challenge now was capturing these at low light.

The cinematographer did his best to capture the footages as cleanly as possible, we had to gently lift those shadows and give it some character. We achieved this using our RH Hybrid Dye Engine DCTL which gently lifts shadows in a filmic style. Later we added our very own RH End Tones Sculptor to dial in the split toning creating the essential depth.

The RH Petal Hue Sat Den MT, gave its trademark style on the hues, adjusting the alpha and width of the Red, Yellow and Magenta Axis we were able to create the beautiful skin tone and also maintain the separation.
